New Team Members

ICON is today pleased to welcome two new people to the Senior Leadership Team. Sara Goldie and Jonathan Davies have taken up position as Director of Operations and Director of Strategy & Communications respectively.

Sara will be responsible for the design development and implementation of new ways of working across the organisation as well as leading the specific transformation, improvement and efficiency of teaching and assessment mechanisms through a strong learner focus.

Sara joins the ICON team after a decade at HIT training and brings with her extensive knowledge, experience and visionary leadership accumulated during 24 years delivering WBL post-16 education and training. Sara said, “I am thrilled to be part of the ICON team. My entire career has been spent in the pursuit of quality and excellence and I look forward to continuing that tradition by providing the very best training solutions to ICON’s current and future customers.”

Jonathan will be responsible for leading the company’s public affairs, including all levels of Government, public policy development, external and internal communications and strategic business partnerships.

Jonathan brings to ICON a wide ranging portfolio of experience gained as a secondary school teacher, Head of Policy & Public Affairs for the Welsh NHS Confederatiion, Special Adviser to the First Minister in Wales, Director of Communications & Insight for Sport Wales and as National Director for Physical Activity.

Jonathan said, “I am pleased to be joining ICON at this very exciting time. I am looking forward to ensuring strong development across all key strategic business areas and to ensuring that ICON’s communications and public affairs, both internal and external, are clear, concise and consistently showcase the tremendous learning experience ICON delivers on a daily basis.”
