CMI Centre Approval
We were delighted to announce in July that we gained approval as a Centre for management qualifications backed by the Chartered Management Institute (CMI), giving new and existing ICON customers access to their highly-respected management qualifications.
We are now one of 600 approved CMI centres, around the world, and believe this step is crucial in supporting our plan to significantly raise the bar for our sector both in terms of training and aspirations. We offer training and development from Levels 1 to 7 and our new Pathways approach to individual learner development (see more here) is part of our ongoing mission to offer more people more opportunities.
CMI is a well-respected Chartered Institute globally and developed the UK’s very first Degree Apprenticeship in Management. The organisation has remained at the forefront of management training for well over 60 years.
To gain accreditation we were required to show evidence that we are able to satisfy the conditions that OFQUAL set CMI. Evidence includes demonstrating we have qualified staff in place, extensive quality assurance processes, health and safety, malpractice and complaints policies, induction programmes for staff and learners, that we support learners with feedback, and can detail the assessment methods we’ll be using and have processes in place for ensuring authenticity and standardization of processes.
Our new partnership with CMI will initially allow us to deliver a range of Level 4 and 5 awards, certificates and diplomas in leadership and management, providing enhanced opportunities for our learners and valuable benefits for the businesses where they work.
